The Chalhoub Group is the first luxury group amongst the 207 members in the region to become a member of the United Nations Global Compact in 2014. By becoming a member, we have joined the ranks of international, socially responsible businesses who are striving to forge the way for responsible business.

A main focus
There is a strong education component in all actions undertaken by Tarz such as the "Gift of Giving" initiative through which over 10,000 school supply packs were distributed regionally to ensure that children are prepared for the new school year. In addition, selected students and employees attend the innovative educational leadership conference "One Young World" allowing them to discuss international, social and environmental issues with world renowned global leaders.
The Chalhoub Group offers a growing scholarship programme with an outreach of 17 students annually.
At TARZ, we strive hard to reduce our environmental footprint through continued innovation, employee and stakeholder education, and streamlining efficiency of operations
We reduce our carbon footprint and educate employees on regional environmental issues. Tarz teams work together to achieve.
In our support to nature & to counter the wide spread problem with pollution in our major cities where breathing can be difficult, we actively encourage tree planting. Our employees physically engage in supporting mother nature whilst simultaneously fighting pollution.
The underlying Concept behind the Campaign is simply convincing people to take one small step. Together we can reach an incredible goal in awareness building since early detection is the best prevention possible.
The Earth Hour Campaign is for each one of us with a common goal/ commitment to make our planet better place by pledging to reduce our carbon footprints.
Gift of Giving Campaigns:-
The aim of this initiative is to empower youth through education, but also to encourage and engage TARZ team members to do so. We work together to achieve a beautiful goal for these less-privileged children. This is the true measure of OUR success! There is a great sense of joy in giving & sheer Happiness of the Underprivilege Children who see hope for their better future. In 2018 we have Distributed 800 School bags with Stationery.
In addition to this campaign, the TARZ is quick to react to global disasters by facilitating and matching collections made by colleagues across the region.
We, at Tarz, need no invitation to whole-heartedly celebrate our patriotism and national festivals, with vibrant colour & great exuberance.
